Greater Bethel AME Athens: The 2024 Sixth Episcopal District’s “Church of the Year”

Greater Bethel has been named as the Sixth Episcopal District’s “Church of the Year” for 2024 by the Sixth Episcopal District Lay Organization.

This prestigious recognition celebrates Greater Bethel’s unwavering commitment to faith, community service, and spiritual leadership.

In his citation, Bishop Michael Leon Mitchell of the Sixth Episcopal District stated:

“This award is a testament to the heart and spirit of the modern AME Church. Greater Bethel remains dedicated to spreading God’s love and serving those in need. The church seamlessly integrates a personal touch with the latest technology, making the Gospel accessible to all.”
